How are Pellets made?

Wood Pellet Fuel is made from compressing sawdust & shavings through holes in a metal dye. The quantity will reduce to approx 15% of its original volume during the process.

Friction generated during manufacturing creates heat that releases the natural lignins within the wood which makes a natural glue-type product that holds the pellet together.
