10 resourceful ways to re-use your Recourcefuel® paper bag

Resourcefuel® wood pellets are Azwood's paper bagged pellet fuel product. Once your pellet fuel has fulfilled its purpose, you can choose how it lives on.

1. Composting

You can re-use the bag to collect compost scraps. Once you are ready to dump it all in the compost simply tip it all out and tear up the bag to add to the pile.

2. Recycling

Not only is the bag compostable but it is 100% recyclable. You can use it to collect recycling paper and all those smaller by popping everything in the bag and simply dumping it in the recycling bin when it’s full.

3. Mulching

That’s right! You can use our paper bag as a mulch and let it live on through your garden, helping suppress weeds and retain moisture. Tear it up, scatter around and cover with compost or bark mulch for extra protection, and to avoid your garden looking like a trash site.

4. Line your rubbish bin

We love that kiwis are moving in the right direction by removing plastic bags from everyday life, but it can be frustrating when you need one for your rubbish. Our multi-walled pellet fuel bag means it is durable and can be used as a rubbish bin liner (tip: just don’t tip your morning coffee in there).

5. Ripen your fruit

An old kitchen trick to ripen avocados, tomatoes, bananas and peaches…. Stick them in a paper bag.

6. Gifting

Everyone loves an eco friendly gift these days, so why not re-use the bag to make little gift tags or to wrap your presents. All you need is a pair of scissors and a bit of creativity and you can make a simple paper bag look great.

7. Make an arts and Crafts box

Create a box for your kids to let their imagination go wild. They make great mothers day presents that come from the heart and keep your kids away from those screens.

8. Weave a paper basket

Weave them into sturdy (and stylish) storage boxes. You can use them for making small gift baskets or as kitchen and home organizers and decor.

9. Create a notepad

Why not reuse your bag for a more practical item like a notepad. Everyone needs one and why not use paper that you already have. Save the trees, as they say.

10. Clean windows

Tear open a paper bag, bunch it up, and use it to clean your windows! Many people swear by using paper bags or newspaper to clean their mirrors and windows, because the paper leaves behind a lint- and streak-free shine.
